About Alexa
There is so many things I love about Whitewater! UWW is such beautiful community and campus. The immediate sense of home was what originally drew me to Whitewater. I hadn't even heard of Whitewater before my tour, but I knew it was my school the second I set foot on campus. My love for UWW has grown even more throughout the past few years. The friends, the professors, the town, the landscaping, I love it all!
First-Year Memory
One of my favorite memories from year one was coming back to campus after winter break my freshman year. I think it was the moment I fully I knew I belonged here. Seeing all my friends that I had missed so much and being excited to start classes again is a feeling that meant a lot to me.
College Search Tip
A tip I have for freshman in their transition to college is keep an open mind! It took me a while to warm up to the idea of meeting so many new people and that's okay! Remember though, you will only get out what you put in during your college experience, so say yes and get out of your comfort zone!

UWW has helped me grow professionally by providing me with so many resources to use to grow professionally. I spent one of my semesters here working an internship I applied to through Handshake that I found as a result of a career fair put on by our accounting department, and as I result of that internship I now have a job lined up for after I graduate. I was also able to get some credits for this internship to help keep me on track to graduate on time.

What has surprised me about college life is how often people show up for one another. There is always, always, someone cheering you on. That might be in the classroom, on the field, in an exam, or just in plain sight. The little things that happen on this campus really add up. I don't think I realized until I got here how often not just the professors, but also your peers cheer you on.
