GMAT or GRE

Based on the information you provided, you need to take the GMAT or GRE and submit the scores to UW-Whitewater before we can proceed with your admission review. Test scores are combined with your undergraduate GPA in a formula that will help us determine your eligibility for admission to a graduate business program. We are looking for a target composite score according to the following scale:

Admission formula

• A composite score of at least 1,100 based on the following formula
(GMAT score) + [200 x (overall undergraduate GPA based on a 4-point scale)]

• A composite score of at least 1,150 based on the following formula
(GMAT score) + [200 x (last half of undergraduate GPA based on a 4-point scale)]

• A composite score of 950 - 1,099 for consideration of conditional admission based on the following formula
(GMAT score) + [200 x (overall undergraduate GPA based on a 4-point scale)]

*GRE scores are converted to comparable GMAT scores

Typically the admission test that people with business degree backgrounds pursue. You can find testing locations, sign-ups, and some free practice material for the GMAT at https://www.mba.com

GRE

Applicants who do not have a business degree background tend to choose the GRE for their admission test. You can find test centers, sign-ups, and some free practice material for the GRE at https://www.ets/org/gre

We will also need copies of your undergraduate degree-bearing transcripts. Those can be sent to us at gradbus@uww.edu. Official copies will be needed in order for you to enroll in classes, but we can process your application with unofficial transcripts in the meantime.
